Rules
Dethrone is a public leaderboard. No ads, no revenue share, no algorithm. Your rank is your bid — nothing else decides it.
How ranking works
- Bids are whole US dollars. $5 minimum, $100,000 maximum.
- Your listing sits at the position its bid earns. Bid less than #1 and you still join the board, just further down.
- Ties go to whoever got there first. Matching a bid does not take the spot — you have to beat it. That protects listings already on the board from being displaced by someone paying the same amount.
- To claim a specific rank, bid at least $1 more than the listing currently holding it. Every row shows exactly what that costs.
- Ranks are live. Someone can outbid you minutes after you pay, and you keep your listing at whatever position your bid still earns.
Raising an existing listing
- Enter the same website or @handle again and bid higher. It raises your existing listing rather than creating a second one.
- The new bid must be above your current one. You pay the new bid in full, not the difference — each bid is its own transaction.
- One listing per domain.
example.com/pricing,www.example.comandexample.comare all the same listing, so nobody can occupy several rows with different paths of one site.
What you can list
- A product or company website, or an X @handle.
- Links must be public
httporhttpsaddresses. Private, internal and local network addresses are rejected. - Query strings are stripped. Affiliate, referral and tracking parameters will not survive, so there is no point adding them.
- No chat or invite links — Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord and the like. This is a board for products and profiles, not group invites.
- No adult or NSFW content.
- Nothing illegal, and nothing that exists to deceive or defraud the people who click it.
Categories
Every listing is filed into a category, each with its own ranking, so a smaller budget can still lead somewhere specific.
Categories are assigned automatically from the title and description found on your page. It is keyword matching, not judgement, so it sometimes gets it wrong. If yours is filed badly, message @iamadnank9 and it will be moved. Moving a listing never changes its rank or its bid.
What we take from your page
When you enter a URL, the page is fetched once and its title, description and icon are read
from the standard OpenGraph and <title> tags — the same information a link
preview would show. Nothing else is collected, and the page is not crawled beyond that.
If the exact URL cannot be reached, the site root is tried instead. A site that is unreachable is still listed, just without the description.
After you pay
- A completed payment is what claims the rank. Starting checkout reserves nothing.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe and are never seen or stored here — only your email, the amount, and the card's brand and last four digits, so a payment can be matched to a receipt.
- Your listing goes public immediately and links straight to the URL or profile you gave.
- Clicks are counted, and the total is shown on your row. Clicks in the last hour feed the trending panel.
Refunds and removals
- Bids are not refundable once a listing is live. You are buying a position on a board that anyone can outbid, and that risk is the whole product.
- A listing that breaks these rules is removed without a refund.
- Want your listing taken down, or the data held about your payment deleted? Message @iamadnank9.
- If something is charged twice, or a payment goes through and your listing does not appear, that is a bug on our side — get in touch and it will be fixed or refunded.
These rules can change as the board grows. Anything already paid for keeps the terms it was bought under.
